A school day

Yesterday was a fun school day.  Let me tell you a little bit about it.

My schedule for the last couple of weeks, with regards to school has been: volunteer in Barbara's English class on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and again on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, right before my Spanish class which is also on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

The morning English classes are a little tough because they start at 8 am.  But the students are awesome and we have lots of fun.  And it's a good way for me to learn Spanish because we often need to find the Spanish words for the English words we're teaching.

My Spanish classes are lots of fun too.  Mostly, there are just 3 or 4 students in the class.  Including me and Kat, an English teacher at the school who's working on her Spanish too.  Sometimes the material we learn is a review for me.  But that's still good.  It helps me with recall/remembering.  Sometimes the material is brand new. Which is good too because my vocabulary is still pretty limited.

Yesterday, we played a game to help us with new vocabulary.  The game is called "lotteria". In English, we call it "Bingo".  The markers were black beans.  Fun!  After school yesterday, I had breakfast with Barbara and Kat at a local restaurant called Las Palmas.  My breakfast was 3 eggs, rice, ham, beans, and a whole pitcher of tamarind water.  All for about $3.  Awesome!  A few days earlier, I had a large fish filet, rice, coleslaw, beans, corn chips, and tamarind water all for about $6.  Super awesome! It might become an after class habit....

#4 - My breakfast!  It's supposed to be ham, but it's more like bacon.  I think it's ultra cooked because I "asked" for it that way.  I think that's the question I had no idea how to answer.
