My "usual routine" is to start my day mostly at my apartment, doing chores or crafts or studying. To spend my afternoons at the beach, going for a swim or doing yoga. Then school and back home to blog, wash up, knit, bed.
But today I spent almost the whole day by the water. It was lovely!
By 9:30, I was at the beach doing yoga. It was nicer than doing it in the afternoon. The air was cooler. I was almost alone. This afternoon, I had a great swim! The water was super calm. There were lovely fishies below me. It was very zen! And after class, I had dinner at Cafe Del Mar, on the waterfront. I'd never been there at night before. The air was warm. The lights pretty.
But what made all this even nicer was the people I shared it with. And met along the way. My new neighbor at the villa, Sue. Super nice and friendly. Some old friends/acquaintances at the beach after yoga. Smart and interesting people. Barb and Tom. And their friend Leo. Who's very interesting. He worked with Barb in Brooklyn NY with underprivileged kids. He's Dutch and is returning to Holland to care for his mom after 25 years in NY.

1) A big sign in the plaza. People love to take their pictures with it
2) A pretty and super nice smelling flower Tom gave me. Very sweet!
3) A cheery street off the main plaza
4) Cafe del mar, this evening. Very pretty lights.
5) A neat sculpture on the waterfront that celebrates the coral reefs and fish
6) A roof cat. This little guy and his "buddy" had a big noisy fight last night!
