Barbara and her friend Leo went scuba diving today. I didn't. But I went along for the ride and it was great!
I'm certified to scuba dive. In fact, the best dive I've ever had was in Cozumel when I was in my early 20s. In my memory, there were large schools of beautifully coloured fish and coral formations that you could swim through and around, like a castle. It really was like a fairy tale!!!
If I could dive in a place like that, and see things like that again, I'd do it in a heartbeat! Many many people come to Cozumel to dive and love it. But I've dove here a few times since my 20s, and it's never been as nice at that 1st time. Since I get cold really easily, I find it hard to clear my ears, and diving is expensive, the benefits of diving don't outweigh the costs for me.
So today, I just went for the boat ride and good company. I also had two very nice swims! While in the water, I saw an eagle ray (very cool!) and I had a close encounter with a curious fish. Likely a grouper. His colours were kinda plain, but it was fun that he was close enough to almost touch several times!
I'd really like to thank Martin, el marinero, who watched over me when I was swimming. He was very patient and kind. And nice to talk to!

5) One of the cruise ships we passed by. Look carefully at the top deck. There's a big water slide and some obstacle course things. That would be quite the thrill!
