Blue Angel - so pretty!

Yesterday afternoon, the Blue Angel became my pretty little refuge.

You may recall that I spent a bunch of yesterday at Money Bar.  Which was mostly a really nice experience!  Except that a lady from Kingston Ontario kinda made me wanna leave.

The lady, who we'll call Donna to protect her identity, was nice enough.  She was  just tooooooo chatty!  I can talk.  A fair bit....But I like to think that I can take a hint.  Read body language.  And shut up when it's time!  Or shortly thereafter....  :)

She was traveling alone too. I imagine she was lonely.  I was fine with chatting for a while. But after about 1.5 hours, I was ready for silence.  So I opened my book and tried to read.  That should pause the chatting, right?  Nope.  Knitting?  Nope?  Me leaving?  Yep!

But I wasn't ready to come home.  So I stopped at the Blue Angel hotel/restaurant.  I used to go there for my swims.  I'd use their dock.  Sometimes stay for a drink, or dinner.  My timing was perfect!  It was happy hour when I arrived!  Two for one drinks and appetizers!  I drank two pina coladas, ate one appetizer, read, and knit until the sun was down and gone.  It's such a pretty place to be at that time of day!  I took the other appetizer home.

1) The pool at the Blue Angel
2) Looking towards the restaurant.  It's so pretty with all the lights!
3) My yummy appetizers and one of my pina coladas
4) My friend, the resident cat.  He was funny to watch!  He was "hunting" birds that landed in the pool.  Was he really gonna launch into the pool???  And he was up on my table quickly after I left to take pictures.  Luckily, I had finished eating!
5) There's a dry dock/marina beside the Blue Angel.  It was really interesting to watch them lift this boat out of the water!
