Aceitunas to the rescue!

Aceitunas means olives in Spanish.  Aceite means oil.    Wikipedia says Spain is the #1 grower of olives in the world and Spain invented Spanish.  This suggests that Spain's main source of oil is olives. Today, olive oil rescued my bicycle!  But I like the sound of "Aceitunas to the rescue!"

My bicycle is getting a lot of mileage these days.  I go back and forth to school twice per day plus I still ride around for the pleasure of it.  But on my way home from school this morning, the bottom bracket on my bicycle seized. You can look at the pictures to find out which part the bottom bracket is.  Wikipedia helped me with that too!

It's not surprising that it seized.  My bicycle has been in Cozumel's salty air for 3 years now.  Everything rusts here.  And I've given my bicycle minimal care. I was about to walk it to the bike shop when I thought, maybe all it needs is aceite!!  I bought some aceite to cook with.  So I lay my bicycle on the ground, poured aceite into the bottom bracket slowly and repeatedly.  And voila!!!  Good as new!  My bicycle is back to it's usual wonderful creaky self!!

#4 - I think this jeep needs a little more than some aceitunas!  Look carefully
