The first great weather day!

Until today, it's been rainy, very rainy, and kinda threatening to rain.  But today was beautiful out!  So I stayed out all day to enjoy it!

After my swim this morning and a quick lunch at home, I ventured out to Jeannie's, a restaurant with a water front view and access.  It might become my favourite Spanish study spot.

After a quick swim to cool off, I sat at a table in the shade, drank lemonade, and copied regular and irregular Spanish verbs, in six tenses.  Geeky yes.  But pleasant.  And kind of fun.  The waiter was very encouraging and even helped me translate some words and correct some sentences I wrote down.  And a lady who was sitting at another table asked if I was reviewing the restaurant.   She said she and her friends had ruled out "spy" because I was too obvious about my note taking!

This evening, I bicycled to town.  On the way, I bumped into Carl, my old friend from year 1 in Cozumel.  It was nice to catch up.  Then I hung out at Woodie's and listened to a popular local performer, named Pako, sing. It was really nice because he's very good and the night air was so warm.  It was also funny.  This poor man who sat on a door ledge to listen too, suddenly got up and started to slap at his pants.  There was an ant colony right next to him!

My bike ride home was, in some ways, the high light of my day.  The air was warm, the streets were quiet, it was lovely!  Did I mention that I love my bike?!!
